The ChIP experience includes 3 day long out-trips, group team challenges, high ropes, wall climbing/rappelling, skills development, bible studies, and much more, all designed to draw the participants closer to Jesus and reinforce what they are learning.
Those individuals that demonstrate the character and giftedness we are seeking for future
enrolment will be awarded the opportunity (at no extra cost) to stay for a one week internChIP where they
will actively serve in one, or more, of the many departments of Fair Havens Ministries.
The setting of Fair Glen Youth Camp and Fair Havens Family Camp & Bible Conference strengthens the ChIP program and allows the those enrolled to learn in an atmosphere where active, varied and established ministry is happening around them. Servant leaders, in those ministries, are visible and positive role models for the students. The ChIP program is a nurturing environment for you to unite with fellow Christians for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God, by building a solid foundation for life-long service.
ChIP is for Christian teens (14-15 yrs of age) whose heart's desire is to make a greater impact in their schools, churches, and communities for the furtherance of the gospel. ChIP is designed to train teens that want to use their summer in Christian ministry, whether it is with children or families. It is an amazing opportunity for focused fun, fellowship and service.
ChIP
Our Christian character In Progress (ChIP) program is a 3-week discipleship course specifically for Christian youth (14 & 15 years old) looking to follow Christ. Our prayer is that God would develop these young believers into dedicated disciples through solid Biblical teaching, strong Christian fellowship and practical ministry experience. We place a very strong emphasis on knowing God's word -- through scripture study, memorization and daily application. Personal growth is promoted through: knowing God, knowing others and knowing yourself. The ChIP experience includes 3 day long out-trips, group team challenges, high ropes, wall climbing/rappelling, skills development, bible studies, and much more, all designed to draw the participants closer to Jesus and reinforce what they are learning.
